Gift/Favor (DeNami Design)

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today I wantet to show you this gift box that I made. To make it I used this sweet bunny stamp by DeNami Design and a free cutting file by Brother that you can find on the Canvas website for the Scan'N'Cut. It's not super big (but I resized it so it fit on an A4 cardstock) but I was able to fit two pieces of chocolate inside.

I used pastel yellow cardstock to cut out the box and it's super simple to assemble. To embellish my box I die cut a flower boarder from green, red and orange cardstock and adhered the individual pieces together. Before adhereing it to to the box, I stamped the sentiment "celebrating you" with VersaMark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I also stamped the little bunny with black ink on white cardstock and colored him with alcohol markers. To finish of the gift box, I just adhered the bunny next to the sentiment and filled the box.

I think the cute stamps by DeNami Design are perfect to embellish gift boxes like the one I showed you today.

Happy Insta Girls Oster Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome back to another Happy Insta Girls Blog Hop! This time we will share some Easter cards with you that we created. We are a group of girls who met on Instagram and the lovely Birka brought this blog hop to life! I hope you'll have fun and enjoy all the cards that you'll find along the way! :)

I received this wonderful card by Sonja! Isn't it just the perfect Easter card? I was really happy when I received it and now it has a special spot on my wall! :)

For this blog hop I wanted to make another interactive card. For my birthday last year I received this amazing birthday card. If you pulled on one side, the image would change to another. And I just had to try it!! So I cut it open, traced all the individual pieces, scanned it with my Scan'N'Cut and created a cutting file. (The plan was to share it with you today but it doesn't work 100% and I still had to adjust while creating the card so I decided to post it whenever I have the chance to make it work.)

For my card I needed two panels. To create these I used the Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp set by Lawn Fawn. For the front panel I started off stamping three eggs. I also used the grass border stamp and stamped it along the bottom of the panel in light and dark green, overlapping. For the cloud background I masked off the eggs and used a self-made cloud sencil and applied Tumbled Glass distress ink over the edges of the stencil. I finished the panel stamping the sentiment "chirpy-chirp-chirp!".

For the second panel I wanted three little chicken being hatched, so I stamped the different chicken and egg shells, masking off specific parts. I also stamped the grass border stamp again and also created the cloudy background to match the front panel. This time, I used the sentiment "[translation: happy easter!]".

And now the scary part began. I had to cut my self-made cutting file for the card from the created panels. If that didn't work for whatever reason, I would have re-create the whole thing. BUT... eyerthing worked out fine! :)

Now I had to assemble the card. I adhered the back panel to the inside of the card shell that I cut from grass green cardstock. Then I had to threaded the front panel in the back panel and closed the card shell. I also applied yellow washi tape to the bottom and front to make sure that the shell stays shut. You can see the card in action in the video below.

I hope you enjoyed my card! Now hop along and see what Katrin created for you! Happy Easter!

Gift Tag (DeNami Design)

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today I wantet to show you this gift tag that I made with the adorable owl stamp by DeNami Design. To make this tag I used a free cutting file by Brother that you can find on the Canvas website for the Scan'N'Cut. Originally it's not even a gift tag but I just had to make it into one because I think it looks so beautiful.

I cut out the two part that I needed for the rosette from orange and light orange paper. I tried it with cardstock but it was too stiff to form these nice roundings that you want for the rosette. I folded the individual "arms" to the center and adhered them. To assemble the rosette I layered both pieces and glued them together. The cutting file also includes a circle, I cut two of them. On one I stamped the owl image and colored it with alcohol markers. I then adhered the circle in the center of the rosette and did the same with the second circle on the back. But before glueing down the second one, I took a piece of matching baker's twine and positioned it between the rosette and the cicle.

I really enjoyed making this gift tag and I hope you like it as much as I do!

Toad Shaker Card (Craftin Desert Divas)

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you a card that I made for the monthly Digi Challenge for the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery.

I started off printing the toad on mix media cardstock and coloring him with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (46, 44, 20, 22 + Tuxedo Black Dual Marker for the eyes). I wanted to create a shaker card, so for the background of the shaker I blended Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutter Distress Ink together.

To create the actual shaker I used dark green cardstock for my panel and cut a circle from the center. I adhered a piece of acetate behind the circle so the sequins won't fall out. Using a ton of foam tape, I created the space for the sequins to shake around. To match the colors, I've chosen light and dark green 4mm sequins and filled my shaker card.

To finish up the card I adhered the toad to the bottom right corner using foam square to give him a bit dimension. I also used the sentiment "Popped up to say...HI" from the Popped Up stamp by Craftin Desert Divas. I stamped it with VersaMark ink on black cardstock and embossed it with gold embossing powder. Lastly, I applied some Glossy Accents to the eyes of the toad.
